Roberto Cavalli by Paul Surridge is Special Guest at Pitti Uomo 94

Roberto Cavalli will be back in Florence with the first men’s collection designed by Paul Surridge, the new creative director for all of the company’s lines.
The Roberto Cavalli brand was born in Florence and will stage a catwalk show at the 94th edition of Pitti Uomo which runs from June 12 to 15, 2018.

Pitti Uomo 94 Menswear Guest Designer: Craig Green

International Fashion Tradeshow Pitti Uomo has revealed the Menswear Guest Designer for its 94th edition:
London- born and based Craig Green, who will present his Spring/Summer 2019 Collection with an exclusive fashion show in Florence this summer!

“Craig Green’s collections reveal many of the critical success factors for those who make fashion today”, says Lapo Cianchi, Pitti Immagine’s Director of Communications & Events, “and specifically his ability to innovate menswear “codes” – even radically, without losing track of the contemporary market’s dynamics. We have been monitoring the development of his style that mixes workwear influences and futuristic shapes, sculptural silhouettes and function. We are thrilled to have Craig Green at Pitti Uomo so that he can show us all the modern elegance of his vision in a spectacular event.”

Green’s accolades include British Menswear Designer at the Fashion Awards 2016 & 2017, the BFC/GQ Designer Menswear Fund prize 2016 and Emerging Menswear Designer at the British Fashion Awards 2014.

The Male Model Music Project's Backstage Inspection Series: Pitti Uomo 93

Beyond Closet presented its Fall/winter 2018 Collection entitled “Beautiful B People” as a part of the Concept Korea project of Pitti Uomo, featuring interesting and upcoming brands from Korea of course!

As every season, the layout of the official venue of the tradeshow, Fortezza da Basso changes decoration. This season, it was the turn of “Pitti Live Movie” presenting cinema-inspired installations, imagery and billboards. All intended to go with the theme of  movies!

Bmuet(te) was also another brand selected for the Concept Korea project. They shared the catwalk with Beyond Closet.
The guest nation of this edition  was Finland, featuring a selection of eight Finnish brands and designers who showed their collections in the special area of the Spazio Carra / Main Pavillion - Lower Level of Fortezza da Basso.

M1992 was another special project of Pitti Uomo 93, which premiered the new collection of designer and DJ Dorian Stefano Tarantini with a very cool mix of American Style, Yuppy Cowboy-inspired pieces and handmade silver buckles produced by EL CHARRO.

The Istanbul-based contemporary streetwear brand Les Benjamins presented its new Men’s Fall/Winter 2018-19 with a special  event-performance at Teatro Nicolini.
Luca Magliano with his label Magliano was the Pitti Italics selected name of Pitti Uomo 93. He presented his Fall/Winter 2018 Collection entitled “ The Wardrobe of the Man in Love” starring unconscious and challenging elegance with a passion of extra-ordinary sizes and looks.
The International Woolmark Prize, one of the most prestigious wards aimed at supporting upcoming talent, returned to Pitti Uomo to announce the winner of the menswear and womenswear categories. 12 finalists from around the world presented innovative collections displaying the potential of Australian merino wool.
Undercover by Jun Takahashi and TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist presented their menswear collections for Fall/Winter 2018-19 as Guest Designers of Pitti Uomo 93. For the first time these visionary Japanese designers staged two back-to-back shows that served as an expression not only of their friendship, but also of the mutual respect for another’s work.

Japan in the spotlight at Pitti Uomo 93! Guest Designers: Undercover & The Soloist

Undercover Spring/Summer 2018

Japanese labels Undercover by Jun Takahashi and Takahiromiyashita The Soloist have been appointed Guest Designers for the 93rd edition of International menswear tradeshow Pitti Immagine Uomo.
Both labels will feature their fall 2018 men’s collections with back-to-back runway shows on January 11, 2018.
The event will mark the return of Takahashi at Pitti Uomo, where he showed his men’s collection on the catwalk in 2009, while Miyashita will host his first Takahiromiyashita The Soloist show outside Japan.
As previously announced, Pitti Uomo’s projects for the upcoming winter season will also include traditional retailer Brooks Brothers’ first runway show in the Salone dei Cinquecento inside Florence’s Palazzo Vecchio, which will also house a brand retrospective open to the public from January 11 to 14, 2018.
Apparently, Japan is taking the spotlight at Pitti Uomo 93 which runs from January 9 to 12, 2018 in Florence, Italy!

BOOM, PITTI BLOOMS - Countdown to Florence!

The energy, the beauty and the power of flowers is the main theme of the upcoming Pitti Uomo 92 with the slogan ‘BOOM, PITTI BLOOMS’
Pitti Immagine introduces its new flower-inspired short video produced by Art + Vibes and directed by Valentina Be, as a special digital project companion for its seasonal campaign in addition to the fair’s layout to be designed by Sergio Colantuoni. Model featured is Umberto Villahermosa @Independent Milano.

Hugo at Pitti Uomo 92!

Hugo Boss will return to Pitti Uomo with its brand Hugo on June 13, 2017 with a combined mens and womenswear fashion show to present its Spring/Summer 2018 Collection.
This special event is added to the lineup of projects scheduled for the 92nd edition of fashion tradeshow Pitti Uomo, following up the previous announcement of J.W. Anderson as menswear guest designer, American designer Virgil Abloh’s brand Off-White’s fashion show and a special new exhibition entitled  ‘ The Ephemeral Museum of Fashion’ curated by Olivier Saillard to take place at the Pitti Palace.
Pitti Uomo 92 runs from June the 13th to the 16th, 2017 in Florence, Italy.

Announcement! Pitti Uomo 92 Menswear Guest Designer: J.W. Anderson

International fashion tradeshow Pitti Immagine has announced that Jonathan Anderson with his eponymous label J.W. Anderson will be the menswear guest designer for its 92nd edition of Pitti Uomo to be held in Florence from June 13th to the 16th, 2017.

Thirty-two year old Jonathan Anderson was born in Northern Ireland and launched J.W. Anderson in 2008. After he showed the first collection of accessories that achieved great critical and commercial success, J.W. Anderson quickly became known as one of London's most innovative labels. The first capsule collection for women came in 2010. Ever since then, the brand has shown at London Fashion Week reaping extraordinary successes among the press and buyers all over the world.

J.W .Anderson has also become internationally recognized thanks to a series of prestigious awards: from the British Fashion Awards "Emerging Talent Award – Ready-to-Wear  (2012), to "The New Establishment Award" (2013) to "Menswear Designer of the Year" (2014). In 2015 he received the British Fashion Awards "Menswear" and "Womenswear Designer of the Year" awards – the first time that one designer took the prize in both categories. In 2013 the LVMH Fashion Group acquired a stake in J.W. Anderson, supporting the brand's growth. Soon after, Mr. Anderson was appointed Creative Director of Loewe (the Madrid-based LVMH luxury brand) where he immediately began reinventing the firm's codes.

The appointment will be on June 14, 2017, the data when  J.W. Anderson will make its Italian debut showing his men's collection Spring/Summer 2018 with a special event with the support of Pitti Immagine.
