New projects and initiatives were held, such as Alternative Set, featuring a selection of small events/ performances held inside the Fortezza da Basso in order to spice up the Pitti experience.

WonderFood Pitti was the theme of the edition, the key topic; 'the land where food is grown and produced' featuring gardens watched over by an entourage of scarecrows wearing clothes designed for the occasion by a select group of brands from all over the world.
Stands selling fruit, beverages, ice candy and other groceries could be found all over the Fortezza, refreshing escapade of the visitors from the extreme summer heat of Florence during the 4 days of the show.
