Next tuesday, April 2nd, the annual fundraiser event Jeffrey Fashion Cares celebrates it's 10th Anniversary and for the occasion, a new set of happenings is scheduled to take place at The Intrepid Museum in NYC. Featuring a VIP cocktail, a silent auction and the traditional fashion show to conclude the special evening, Jeffrey Fashion celebrates its commitment bringing fashion, several luxury companies and social communities together in benefit of four non-profit organizations that help people living with HIV/AIDS and members of the LGBTQ community. ( AIDS Community Research Initiative of America (aka ACRIA), the Hetrick Martin Institute, Lambda Legal and the Point Foundation)
Celebrity Host for this year is actress Emmy Rossum and the Honorary Guest is Tony Award-winning choreographer Jerry Mitchell who will receive the Community Leadership Award presented by Cyndi Lauper.With a philosophy of community involvement and philanthropy, the initiative Fashion Cares was founded in 1992 by Jeffrey Kalinsky, fashion pioneer and leader with the aim to heighten social awareness of the people living with HIV/AIDS. In 10 years from the first fashion show/ event (held in 2003), Jeffrey Fashion Cares has raised over $4 million for LGBT and LGBT youth charities in NYC.
For this year's edition, male models participating in the runway show include Sean O'Pry, Simon Nessman, Parker Gregory, (just to mention some) and models in attendance will be Jessica Hart, Jessica White, Julie Henderson & Nicole Trunfio.
Designers in participation for the show include Lanvin, Givenchy and Dries Van Noten.
Chairmen are Jeffrey Kalinsky, of course, Todd Sears and Dan Rothmann.
