Cannes 2013 Official Selection

The official selection of films to be featured at the 66th edition of the Cannes Festival to be held from 15th to 26th May 2013.
According to the artistic director of the festival, Thierry Frémaux, after the examination of over 1,800 films from all over the world, there will be 19 features in the lineup that will compete for the Palm d'or.
The festival will present new features from Roman Polanski, Alexander Payne, François Ozon, The Coen Brothers, James Gray, James Franco, Sofia Coppola, Guillaume Canet and many more.
The President of the Jury will be Steven Spielberg and Danish director Thomas Vinterberg (The Hunt)will be the President of the Jury of the Un Certain Regard section (a certain glance; parallel to the official competition).
The Short Film & the Cinéfondation Selection will be headed by director Jane Campion(The Piano)with members of the Jury: Maji-da Abdi, Nicoletta Braschi, Nandita Das and Semih Kaplanoglu.( an international selection of writers, directors, actress and producers).
