The presentation of the G-Star Raw Autumn/ Winter 2013 Collection along with the capsule collection created by Australian industrial designer Marc Newson, expert in creating iconic pieces and garments for G-Star each season.
For the occasion, the highlights included the introduction of the latest 3D innovations applied in several wardrobe pieces and the presentation of the new book launched by Taschen, Marc Newson: Works featuring a complete overview of Newson's work with the brand (see photo below).
G-Star continues to develop 3D denim constructions in sleeves and jackets and reintroduces the A-Crotch, an original Pierre Morisset design identified by its angular A-shaped cut and seam work.
Newson also introduced for this collection, a new print named Kasuri, based on authentic Japanese woven patterns with dyed threads. Definitely, G-Star is always in research work in order to innovate treatment techniques of denim, totally constructive and distinctive.
An exclusive aperitif for members of the press and top buyers of the world took place within the Sala Ottagonale, one of Pitti Uomo's facilities inside the Fortezza da Basso, with the purpose to present these innovations and new features of the brand.
