The mysterious appearance of the Caruso guys at Stazione Leopolda (Florence, Italy).
Caruso is a 100% Made in Italy brand with the iconic tradition of the Italian tailoring, founded by Raffaele Caruso.
In the middle of an extreme Tuscan winter, the 83rd edition of Pitti Uomo took place marking the start of the Autumn/ Winter 2013-14 season of the men's fashion international agenda ( keep in mind the problematic overlap and negotiation with the dates of London Fashion Week).
The fair has welcomed 7,800 international buyers and figures (increasing a 5% compared to the previous winter edition) and 12,650 Italians in attendance ( a drop of 7%, resulting from the complicated economic situation in the country) Total: 30,000 visitors.
Japan was the country that headed the list of attendance in the fair activities.
The key theme of the edition was Pitti BooksWear Mania, drawing inspiration from books and reading as a relevant activity vinculated to fashion and style under the philosophy of 'We wear what what we read'.
The importance of a book as a testimonial and instrument of research in fashion but also as a protagonist with a cultural and defining role in terms of personal/ social identity, style and history.
