Upcoming Album Release: Schiller/ 'Opus'

German producer Christopher von Deylen aka Schiller's new album entitled 'Opus', brings a selection of classical tunes spiced up with electronic sounds, featuring outstanding collaborations  with special musicians and guests ( following Schiller's tradition from previous releases) with renowned classical pianist Hélène Grimaud with her interpretation of Erik Satie's 'Gymnopédie No. 1', legendary soprano Anna Netrebko and a special version of Edvard Grieg's 'Solveig's Song', just to mention a few.
Also featured Debussy's 'Reverie' and Rachmaninoff's 'Rhapsody On A Theme Of Paganini, Op 43'.
'Orchestral, minimalist and emotional sounds inspired by timeless melodies'.
A special 4 CD edition of the album, featuring bonus material and a canvas with the cover is also set to be available as a collector item in Germany (other countries still unconfirmed at the moment)
'Opus' is set for release on August the 30th.
For more information on Schiller's previous work and collaborations, you can find The Male Model Music Project's interview with him on his album 'Breathless', HERE.

Upcoming Book Release: '10 Corso Como: A to Z' by Carla Sozzani

At first sight ( suggested by its title) I think this will be some sort of dictionary of the brands, elements, inspirations and highlights of the history of 10 Corso Como, hot spot, shopping and dining complex in Milan, created by Carla Sozzani.
Initially, a gallery (Galleria Carla Sozzani) 10 Corso Como became a space for art, shaped by her founder's personal taste, which was in charge to turn this place into a cultural exchange spazio incorporating a design/ fashion store, an expanded bookshop and a garden café that has become one of the must-go destinations in Milan when it comes to the latest in fashion, photography and design.
'A description of Sozzani's world and her opinions on fashion travel, design and lifestyle'.
'10 Corso Como: A to Z' by Carla Sozzani is set for release on Sep 24 by Rizzoli.
The Male Model Music Project has visited 10 Corso Como in the past during previous trips to Milan Men's Fashion Week, to buy some books and cd's!
Remember one of these stories, HERE (10 Corso Como Café and store visit after Frankie Morello's Men's Fashion Show and a few hours before Roberto Cavalli's show)

Upcoming Album Release: Pink Martini/ 'Get Happy'

One of my favourite acts, Portland's hottest, eclectic, internationally known "small orchestra", Pink Martini's new album 'Get Happy' is set for release on 24th September 2013!!!
In addition to the appearance of the lead singer of the band, China Forbes and their co-lead vocalist Storm Large, 'Get Happy' features special guests such as Rufus Wainwright, French eccentric Philippe Katherine, Australian cabaret sensation Meow Meow, Ari Shapiro and The Von Trapps.
Including 16 songs (performed in French, German, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Farsi, Turkish and Romanian) selected and arranged by Thomas M. Lauderdale (the main musician, piano player and founder of the band), the album opens with Pink Martini's version of Charlie Chaplin's 'Smile', last year's recording featuring American actress, comedienne and stage persona, Phyllis Diller (unfortunately, she passed away on August 2012, so this track turned out to be her final recording).
'Get Happy' follows Pink Martini's previous album 'Splendor in the Grass' released in 2009.
